About Riviera Maya
The rest of the world is quickly discovering what the peaceful Mayans recognized some 2,000 years ago. The eastern coast of the Yucatan peninsula, stretching from just south of Cancun all the way to Tulum (about 120 kilometres), is a region blessed with pristine, white sand beaches, turquoise waters, lush vegetation, speckled with magnificent Mayan archaeological sites, like Tulum.
A major attraction throughout the Riviera Cancun and Riviera Maya regions is the renowned Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System. Coastal and aquatic reef activities centre on this massive reef - among the largest in the world. In addition, you can find eco-parks, such as Xcaret and Xel Ha, which is home to smaller achaeologial ruins and a host of aquatic activities
The areas currently known as Riviera Cancun and Riviera Maya were originally habited by the Mayan people around 2,600 B.C. The Mayans rose to prominence around 250 A.D. until they were conquered by the Spanish in the 16th century.
Today, the Riviera Cancun and Riviera Maya are known for lavish all inclusive resorts with deluxe amenities from gourmet restaurants and bars to thrilling entertainment complexes, as well as spas and wellness centres.
The Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System is the second longest in hte word and begins near Cancun, continuing south along the whole length of the Riviera Maya's beaches, all the way to Centrel America's Honduras.

Lisa, is my sister who has been spoiling me since the day I was born. I hear stories that Lisa would often take me out to places she would go as a teenager and get dirty looks from older ladies because they believed I was Lisa's daughter.
I was very sad the day Lisa followed her heart to move in with her (now) husband Jim in Toronto in the early 90s. It actually worked out very well for me and my brother Brent. Lisa and Jim would have Brent and I up for visits to their apartment in Toronto and take us to wonderful excursions like Medevil Times, The Toronto Exhibition, Ikea, and No Frills. Some of these excursions sound very silly, but to a young girl living in Prince Edward County, even the elevator ride up to Lisa and Jim's apartment was a novelty.
Lisa and Jim were married in June of 1996 and I was given the honour of being their flower girl. Lisa and Jim bought a home in Wellington and moved back to the County shortly after their wedding. Lisa and I enjoyed running and roller blading together and I was so happy to have my sister back in Wellington.
Lisa gave birth to Mallory in June of 1998. I was so thrilled to become an aunt, most eleven year olds do not get that opportunity. Lisa and baby Mallory came and watched me in sporting events at the CML track. I loved spending time with Lisa, Jim and Mallory. Mallory was and still is the happiest baby I have ever met in my life.
In 2000, Monica was born and in 2002 Max was born. Here entered the "blondes".
Those years seemed like a whirlwind, Lisa had 3 children under the ages of three and still to this day I have no idea how her and Jim did it. They are the most active family I know and they make it look like a breeze.
Besides from being an awesome Wife and Mom, Lisa has done some fascinating things for the village of Wellington. For many years Lisa organized the Prince Edward County Marathon and in recent years has dedicated her free time to organizing a Women's Half and Half a Half Marathon in Wellington. Proceeds from this event have transformed CML Snider's school yard into beautiful space for student's to maintain active and healthy lives on beautiful new play equipment, newly surfaced track, new basketball courts and sun shelter. I am so impressed by Lisa's accomplishements and I know the residents of Wellington are lucky and happy to have Lisa as one of their own.
Over the years Lisa and I have enjoyed running and participating in bootcamp classes together. Watching her son Max play hockey at the Wellington and Picton arenas has become a source of weekend enterainment for me. Watching her daughter Monica participate in her yearly dance send off is something I always look forwrard to. Listening to stories about Mallory's leadership events at PECI or happenings at her job at the Drake in Wellington is something I get a kick out of.
I am so fortunate to have Lisa in my life and all of the goodness of husband and children that come with Lisa is truly amazing to be around.
Andrew is my younger brother and friend of 25 years. Andrew is another person in my life that I can't thank enough. He has been there for me as long as I can remember.
He has been my biggest fan at all the sporting events he was dragged along to, my toughest competition in the driveway playing sports, drinking buddy and personal punching bag.
He's the first guy you can call when you need a hand and the last guy you will be able to get in touch with Sunday morning.
Andrew works for Hydro One and has recently purchased his first home. I'm very proud of my younger brother and couldn't be happier to have him by my side on my wedding day.
I am the luckiest daughter in the world because I have the best parents. They have taught me so much and have cared and supported me through every step of my life.
I was raised in a home with 3 older siblings; 1 sister, Lisa and 2 brothers, Scott and Brent. There was always someone watching out for me.
I've learned a thing or two about; talking, caring, kindness, determination, grit and hard work. How to load a dishwaher - properly, do a load of laundry - properly, how to keep a clean kitchen and knowing any problem can be solved with a great shopping trip from my mother
I've learned a thing or two about; keeping quiet, being optimistic, to be logical and keep emotions in check, giving to your community, check twice and cut once and anything can be fixed with a little super glue and duck tape from my father.
Thank-you both so much for making me the person I am. For all of the drives to hockey and soccer, listening to me cry when needed, telling me to get off my butt when needed and your continued love and support today, I am so happy that you are a two minute walk away.
Most of all, thank-you for being an inspiration of what friendship and love for your spouse looks like. I hope Adam and I are as happy together in marriage after many years as you both are.
They are the loving parents of the best son in the world.
They have both taught me so much and I can't thank them enough for everything they have done for me. My Mom is my rock and Dad is my hero.
Mom and Dad have been there every step of the way in my life whether it be school, (which I'm sure was a challange) to hockey, ball, golf or any other sport I decided to get involved in.
They also supported me from day one when we decided to have a destination wedding. I think this is because of their love for travel. Mom and Dad have been all over the world and can't seem to get enough of it. I remember one story they tell about traveling to Europe and cutting the trip short because they missed the golden boy as I was only a year or so old. Getting home quickly these days does not seem to be an issue. Although, I do remember them coming home and wondering why they didn't stay longer. Whether it be a messy house due to a party, a broken nose, or just an empty fridge because of a couple hungry boys that ate everything in sight.
Never the less, they were always proud of me. They are celebrating 33 years of marrige this year and are high school sweet hearts, like Pam and I. I can only hope we are as good of life long friends as they are 33 years from now.
I love you both.
I was born September. 3, 2007 in Haybay at Bayview Stables. I am one of nine to my mother River, a golden retriever and my father Rufus, a standard poodle.
Pam and Janice chose me on October. 18, 2007. Pam tried to return me as she thought I was a boy, but as you can tell by my curvy butt and hips, I am clearly a girl.
Pam and Adam found enjoyment and laughter in my puppy years by carrying me around for a SHORT period of time and my ability to fall asleep anywhere.
Now, I enjoy short walks on the beach, cheese - old cheddar, cheese slice... I'm not too picky. Tummy rubs, bacon grease on my kibble on Sunday mornings and smashing my face into the beige carpet after eating good food. I kind of like other dogs, but I much prefer human company. Dave Bell and Lisa Lindsay are two of my favourite humans.
Last Christmas, I surprised Pam and Adam with a double whammy - ear mites and a bladder infection - in the same vet visit. The $500 vet bill resulted in me getting ONLY one bone and one dollar store stuffy on Christmas morning.
I'm actually looking for a place to stay while Pam and Adam get hitched in Mexico. Let me know if you know someone who would like a kind, gentle, tender-hearted blonde as company for a week?
After lots of hinting, persauding, and poking from friends, family and Pam herself, Adam finally proposed in a very special way in New York City on November. 16, 2015.
The trip was planned because mutual friends Lucas Hiddink and Heather Egan were celebrating their Honeymoon. The couple asked Adam including Pam to join them in their celebration.
Without much notice, Adam shared the news with Pam that they would be traveling to New York with Luke and Heather. Pam replied "sure, let's go, but I don't have much money".
After a hectic trip to the train station in Syracuse with misplaced passports, EZ pass violations, and almost missing the train (due to Pam and Heather running late...because they needed pretty traveling hair) they finally arrived in New York City.
This is where Adam came to learn that Pam was not kidding that she did not have much money for travelling. In fact, she had arrived with $30 USD to spend over the next four days. After some laughs and banter Adam treated Pam like a princess to her heart's desire of Magners Cider at O'Hara's, dinner at Guy's Restaurant in Times Square, scalper tickets to a Leafs game at Madison Square Garden - that were not legit - and the group did not get into the game (ask Adam about that story!) and finally a horse drawn carriage ride from Charlie Brown the horse through Central Park where Adam popped the question and Pam said "yes!".
The group enjoyed their last day learning about some of New York's history and a trip through China town before a mad dash was made to the train station for departure. This is where Pam and Heather almost missed the train for a second time (not due to hair this time, but another important aspect in life...krispy kreme donuts). Adam and Luke had pretty much decided that the new fiancee and pregnant wife would be left in New York.
But, they all eventually made it home to the County where Pam returned home with the $30 USD still in her pocket, a ring on her hand and fiancee in toe.
We were introduced by a mutual friend in high school. Pam was told, "Adam Bell likes you..." Pam replied, "Who is Adam Bell? and "that won't work he is in grade 10". (Pam was in grade 11). This created some curiousity for Pam who made an alternate route to period 3 History class to pass Adam's locker to find out who this Adam was.
Sparks and attraction grew at one of Ellen Henry's cottage parties and the first official date was planned for the following weekend. Adam asked Pam to attend his hockey game at the Wellington Arena and afterwards go out to a movie.
Pam was late for the hockey game - surprise - because she was out shopping - bigger suprise - but Adam wasted no time and made the quick decision to slew foot the goalie, which enused a fight between him and the goalie including the defense line. Adam was thrown out of the game and quickley showered to join Pam in the stands. Adam was happy with his act of chivalry and Pam wondered what she was doing with this goon.
After a movie with friends Adam asked Pam to officially date on the ride home in the back of Timmy Kerr's truck. Pam said "yes!" and the rest is history.

Will become husband and wife
I was born in Picton hospital on October. 12th, 1988 on time so if you read the previous page you know why I'm late (PAM).
I attended Pinecrest elementary and occasionaly P.E.C.I. where I met the love of my life, Pam.
I was told that writing this autobiography is one of the must things to do for me, which is rare that I am told what to do by Pam so I thought I had better do it. My focus in writing this has not been 100% as I have been jumping between here and my NFL draft. None of the less, I have been compliant with these demands as I have very few other must do's other than; wash the dishes, cook supper, do the laundry, feed the dog, cut the grass, vaccum the house, clean the fridge, wax the floors, finish the TV stand. Sorry these are lies I've litteraly done one of those things (and let's not bring up the tv stand around Pam please).
I have worked as a capenter since I completed high school and recently started my own business. I enjoy playing pretty much every sport and hanging out with my friends and family and can't wait to spend it with you in the sunny south.
I was born in Picton Hospital on June. 26, 1987 arriving two weeks late, which is synonymous with my tardiness that still exists today (you will here more on that later). I attended CML Snider Elementary School where I enjoyed playing on the school's sports teams and participating in running events like; cross-country, relay, and track and field. Outside of school I enjoyed playing piano, figure skating, and spending time on the Henry farm caring for sheep, one sheep in particular #324 whom I named "Daisy". I relunctantly completed my part-time job, delivering the "The Intelligencer" newspaper around Wellington for pennies and dragged any friend or family member into helping me every chance I got.
I attended PECI (that's where I met Adam!) where I continued my passion for running and athletics and took on my first real job working at the Devonshire Inn.
After meeting Adam, I chose not to travel far for post-secondary school and completed my ECE Diploma at Loyalist College in 2007. I continued my education at Loyalist and received a BAA in Human Services Management.
Once completing my education, I worked at two part-time jobs; Family Space-Ontario Early Years Centre and the Military Family Resource Centre Daycare. In 2011, I took a full-time job with the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board as a DECE. I worked in Belleville at Queen Victoria Public School, where I really got my feet wet and took a transfer to Pinecrest Memorial Elementary in 2013.
Today, in my free time I enjoy playing hockey and soccer, walks with Dolly, dinners out with the girls, exploring my artistic side, and trips to the beach with Adam.
I can't wait for my trip to the beach with Adam this February where we will officially begin our together forever!
